Allu Arjun and Atlee’s Raaka is being made on a massive scale, and the business around the film is already looking equally huge. The latest trade buzz is about Allu Arjun’s remuneration. Instead of taking a fixed salary, the star is reportedly taking a share in the film’s profits. If the current trade calculations are accurate and everything goes as planned, his total earnings from the project could reportedly reach around Rs. 300 crores.
That would be a never-before remuneration for a Tollywood star. It also shows how much Allu Arjun’s market has changed after the Pushpa franchise.
However, there are also rumors that the allotted Rs. 600 crores budget has already been used, while the film is still not even 50% complete. In such a scenario, giving Allu Arjun a huge upfront remuneration would not seem feasible. So, Allu Arjun himself may have proposed taking his remuneration from the film’s profits.
If Raaka becomes a major blockbuster, Allu Arjun stands to make an extraordinary amount. If the film underperforms, however, his earnings would also be affected. This reportedly puts the star in a position where his remuneration is directly linked to the film’s success.
The scale of Raaka explains why expectations are so high. The film reportedly has a mafia backdrop centered around a powerful don, with multiple timelines and a huge action component. Deepika Padukone, Mrunal Thakur, and Janhvi Kapoor are also part of the cast. International technicians are reportedly working on the project under the Sun Pictures banner, making it one of the most ambitious films of Allu Arjun’s career.
