Nani’s production venture Court is set to hit theaters in a week. The film’s success will depend on how engaging the content is. The trailer has already revealed that it is a mix of teenage love and a serious courtroom drama.
As a producer, Nani has made an unusual appeal. He urged audiences to watch Court on the first day itself. If they don’t like it, he asked them to skip his upcoming film HIT 3.

Nani made a similar request during the release of C/o Kancharapalem, and people trusted his word back then.
Regardless of how the film turns out, a strong opening on day one is enough for the film to recover its costs. As a producer, Nani only needs to ensure that Court gets a good initial response.

However, the timing is not ideal for theatrical releases as the film is not getting a free run and clashing with Kiran Abbavaram’s Dilruba.
Even if Court receives positive reviews, audiences might decide to wait for its OTT release. To counter this, Nani has strategically made his appeal to drive viewers to theaters.

The film was reportedly made on a modest budget of 12 crores. While some may find this figure high for a small film, industry sources confirm that the production cost is justified.
According to sources, even before the theatrical release, non-theatrical rights have already fetched around 7-8 crores. That means only 5 crores needs to be recovered from the box office.
If Court manages to open with around 50% occupancy, it can easily meet its theatrical target. However, if the opening is weak and the film is labeled as “OTT material,” recovery might be tough.
That is why Nani has carefully planned his strategy. With his influence and goodwill, the film is likely to meet its goal without much trouble.
