Just when things appeared to be calm, a new find by Hyderabad Narcotics Department once again brought back the issue to the forefront. Once again, some big names allegedly take or even supply drugs to known people.
Recently, the Narcotics department took notice of Kabali producer KP Chowdhary on June 14. He allegedly supplied drugs to known people in Telugu and Tamil film industries and some in political circles. The police found lots of pictures, cell phone numbers, and other details. They have identified 12 conversations regarding drugs and 11 suspicious bank transfers and are questioning Chowdhary regarding the same.
Meanwhile, another name that came out, Bigg Boss fame Ashu Reddy, has said she had no involvement in the matter and said she did not approve of any move that would make her cell number public. Similarly, another actress whose pictures are doing rounds on social media has said she is ready to cooperate in whatever way possible with the police.
Another incident that came to light was a party hosted by KP Chowdhary at the house of badminton player Sikki Reddy. However, her husband Sumit came forward and denied that he and his wife were committed players and had no idea of what happened at the party. He, however, said he knew KP Chowdhary socially, and when he contacted them to use their flat in Sneha Hills, they gave it to him for four days.
On the other hand, the police are maintaining that they are not naming or blaming any person or persons for now and reiterate that they will continue their investigation legally.
