Whenever Jr. NTR has attempted a drastic weight loss and a slimmer look, not just the general audience but even his own fan base has struggled to accept it. Kantri movie (2008) was the best example back then, and now the same situation is repeating with the much hyped Pan India project ‘Dragon’ directed by Prashant Neel.
NTR has significantly reduced his weight for this film. He looks much slimmer, especially in the face and jawline, and the transformation made him look completely different from his usual style. This led to noticeable negativity around his looks initially.
However, over the past few weeks, with improved styling and presentation, the very same look has started to settle in slowly and is gradually finding acceptance among fans.
The real challenge, though, lies elsewhere. Even with Prashant Neel, currently the number two Pan India director after Rajamouli, this project is lagging behind Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit in the hype game.
At this point, everything depends on whether Prashant Neel can deliver a banger official first look from Dragon for NTR. If that clicks, it could finally kick off the real hype for the film.
