SS Rajamouli, continuing his winning spree, has won the prestigious Best Director Award for RRR at the New York Film Critics Circle.
After winning many accolades, awards, and appreciation in the west, this award is another feather in the much-decorated cap of SS Rajamouli. NYFCC Awards are considered very prestigious as the New York Film Critics Circle Awards consist of a jury made of some of the most reputed Hollywood film critics.
The NYFCC was formed in 1935 and is made up of critics from weekly and daily newspapers, magazines, and online publications.
With this win, the road to the Oscars gets one more step closer for RRR. What looked like an impossible dream is looking achievable with each passing day.
Let’s hope RRR not only gets nominated but also wins at the Academy Awards (Oscars) in 2023.
