Among the upcoming small budget Telugu movies, Paathshala is garnering an unique buzz with its unique campaign and promotional activities alongwith teasers and trailers. Writer Mahi V Rajiv of ‘Village lo Vinayakudu’ fame is turning director for this film alongwith providing story and screenplay. Though the movie has newcomers playing the main leads, timely and sensible promotions made it to grab a lot of eyeballs creating anticipation on the movie.
The comparisions on the movie are on the lines of Krish’s Gamyam, Vedam and Shekhar Kammula’s ‘Happy Days’. Being a road movie, ‘Paathshala’ being compared to ‘Gamyam’ and ‘Vedam’ makes sense. Being the journey of five students/friends justifies the comparision with ‘Happy Days’. Being compared to movies which belong to sensible genre is good anyway but hope big way that the comparision stops at that and writer turned director Rajiv has some different story to translate on screen.
