Amidst all the threats and protests PK is receiving there is finally some good news for the team. The film has been given tax free status in Uttar Pradesh. This is the first state to give it this status, one has to wait and see if the other states follow or not.
Meanwhile Chief Minister of Maharashtra too has made it clear that the film will run without any interruption as it would be illegal to do so for a movie that has been cleared legally. PK thanks to all these controversial protests is going strong at the box office with fabulous collections all over. It has become a topic of hot debate all over too.
The makers of PK have been trying to get tax free status from the weekend after its release as they feel it has a universal message for all the Indians. It is another issue that many have felt offended by the same content.
