Is a Prabhas-Aditya Dhar Film Practically Possible?

Prabhas and Aditya Dhar collaboration

A collaboration between Prabhas and Bollywood director Aditya Dhar has been the subject of speculation for quite some time. However, despite the excitement surrounding the combination, the project appears no closer to becoming a reality.

The interest is understandable. Aditya Dhar has once again emerged as one of Hindi cinema’s hottest directors following the success of Dhurandhar, while Prabhas remains one of India’s biggest pan-India stars. A film bringing them together would instantly become one of the most anticipated projects in the country.

Industry reports suggest that Prabhas and Aditya Dhar have met multiple times and discussed various ideas over the years. Those interactions fueled speculation that a collaboration was gradually taking shape behind the scenes.

The problem, however, is timing.

Prabhas is currently one of the busiest actors in Indian cinema. He is occupied with Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and Fauji with Hanu Raghavapudi. He is also expected to join Kalki 2898 AD Part 2 soon, while Salaar 2 remains firmly in the pipeline.

With so many large-scale projects already committed, his schedule appears locked for at least the next three years.

Aditya Dhar faces a similar situation. According to industry buzz, his immediate focus is a project backed by Jio Studios, which is expected to take priority over any future collaborations. He is also reportedly keen to work with Ranveer Singh again.

That scheduling clash is why many industry observers believe a Prabhas-Aditya Dhar film is unlikely to happen anytime soon.

The discussions may have happened, and the interest may be genuine. However, turning that interest into a full-fledged film is a different challenge altogether when both individuals are already committed to multiple major projects.

For now, the Prabhas-Aditya Dhar combination remains just an exciting possibility. If the collaboration is pushed too far into the future, equations could change completely. Careers evolve, priorities shift, and new opportunities emerge.

A project that looks exciting today may not feel the same three or four years from now.
