For many years, cinema lovers in Hyderabad have complained about the lack of proper large screen projection facilities. Despite the city’s strong movie culture, truly immersive big screen experiences were limited. However, the situation is now slowly beginning to change.
One of the latest additions is the PCX screen at the famous Prasad’s theatre in the Khairtabad area. This large screen format offers a massive display along with an immersive sound system. Many viewers consider it one of the most impressive theatre experiences in the city.
However, the PCX screen has also received some criticism from audiences. Viewers have pointed out issues related to seating arrangements and viewing angles. Some seats reportedly offer limited leg space and side angle viewing can affect the overall experience.
The theatre management has been trying to address these concerns through occasional renovations. Efforts have been made to improve comfort and the overall viewing environment. Even so, the feedback from some audiences continues to highlight these limitations.
Now a new competitor has emerged for the Prasad PCX screen. The challenge comes from the Dolby screen at Allu Arjun’s Allu cinema. This new theatre promises a premium viewing experience with advanced projection and sound technology.
The Dolby screen offers modern presentation systems and high quality visuals. If the theatre begins operating at full capacity and gains audience approval, it could attract a significant share of moviegoers. This may impact the popularity of the PCX screen.
At the same time, Prasad PCX still holds an important advantage. The theatre is located in a central part of Hyderabad. Its position in Khairtabad makes it easily accessible for many cinema fans across the city.
In comparison, Allu cinema is located in Kokapet which is relatively farther from the city centre. However, the location is closer to major tech areas like Gachibowli and the Financial district. This could attract audiences from the rapidly growing western corridor of the city.
As both theatres compete with premium technology, the battle for the best large screen experience in Hyderabad is becoming more interesting. In the coming months, it will be clear which theatre becomes the preferred destination for movie lovers.
