A new controversy has emerged around Allu Arjun following the inauguration of Allu Cinemas in Hyderabad. Videos circulating online from inside the multiplex have sparked discussions among fans and film followers.
One of the debates centres on the “Legendary Directors Wall” inside the multiplex. The display features filmmakers such as Rajamouli, Mani Ratnam, Rajkumar Hirani, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Sukumar, Trivikram Srinivas, Prashanth Neel, Rishab Shetty, Vetrimaaran, and Atlee.
Some viewers questioned the inclusion of Atlee among the listed directors. They argued that he may not yet match the stature or legacy associated with several other filmmakers featured on the wall.
A section of fans also speculated that his presence could be linked to reports of a future collaboration with Allu Arjun. However, this remains speculation from social media discussions.
While the debate around the directors wall continues, another issue has triggered further criticism. A separate wall inside the multiplex highlights major stars of Indian cinema.
The display includes names such as Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Prabhas, and Allu Arjun among others. However, many observers noticed that the wall only lists male actors.
The absence of female stars quickly became a talking point online. Fans pointed out that legendary actresses like Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit, and Aishwarya Rai were not included.
Several users also noted that contemporary actresses such as Deepika Padukone, Anushka Shetty, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Rashmika Mandanna were missing from the display.
This led to discussions about whether the wall unintentionally overlooks the contributions of women in Indian cinema. Many social media users said female stars have played an equally significant role in shaping the industry.
Another issue raised by viewers relates to spelling mistakes and selections on the “Icons of Indian Actors” wall. Some names appear to have incorrect spellings.
For instance, Aamir Khan reportedly appears as “Amir,” and Amitabh Bachchan is written as “Amithab.” Some users also questioned why Kartik Aaryan was included while the late actor Irrfan Khan was not featured.
The discussions around the displays at Allu Cinemas continue online. Many fans hope the concerns will be addressed to better reflect the diversity and legacy of Indian cinema.
