RRR has entered the Rs 40 crores gross club in Tamil Nadu in just 5 days, which is a pretty impressive tally for a dubbed film.
To put that into perspective, Tamil star Suriya‘s recent theatrical outing, ET‘s lifetime gross tally in Tamil Nadu has been bettered by RRR in just 4 days. RRR’s Chennai city gross alone is Rs 4.52 crores.
Netiznes are now commenting that Rajamouli has delivered a sucker punch to Suryia by beating the latter’s recent film’s collections in just 4 days and that too with a dubbed film.
RRR had a Rs 31.5 crore 3-day opening weekend at the Tamil Nadu box office, which is slightly better than that of Baahubali 2, making it the highest other language opener in the state.
