‘Nanna’ literally means father but people also use the word to address others in a loving way. During the title song launch of ‘Naannaku Prematho’, NTR revealed the names of people who address him ‘Naanna’ instead of his real name. Senior actor Rajendra Prasad always calls him ‘Naanna’.

The way he called him NTR ‘Naanna’ throughout the shooting of the film had made NTR to connect with the senior actor and bring out the true emotions required for a father-son relationship in the film says NTR.
It’s not only Rajendra Prasad, besides his father and brother Kalyan Ram,many people in the industry like VV Vinayak also call him ‘Naanna’. He thinks RP is the perfect choice for playing the father in the film. NTR humbly says that he wouldn’t have got the emotion right if not for RP.
