A shocking incident has reportedly taken place during the shoot of Prabhas’ film, believed to be Fauzi. Popular senior actor Rajesh Sharma has been hospitalized after suffering a suspected insect bite while shooting at Ramoji Film City. According to the latest updates, his condition worsened a few hours later, and he is now under medical observation in Kolkata.
As per reports, the incident happened after pack-up. Rajesh Sharma was said to be speaking with local technicians in an area surrounded by dense vegetation when he felt what was believed to be an insect bite, possibly from a bug or even a poisonous spider. Since it did not appear serious at first, he reportedly did not seek immediate treatment.
However, a few hours later, Rajesh began experiencing severe pain in his right leg and started feeling unwell. Despite that, he boarded a flight to Kolkata. During the journey, his condition is said to have worsened further, with high fever, restlessness, and breathing discomfort. He was later admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata.
According to updates shared by actress Sudipa Chatterjee and filmmaker Agnidev Chatterjee, the infection in Rajesh Sharma’s right leg spread rapidly from the toes up to the knee, with blisters also developing in the affected area. He is currently said to be suffering from high fever and breathlessness, while doctors closely monitor him for possible complications. Reports have also mentioned concern over the risk of a blood clot if the infection worsens further. His condition is still not out of danger.
Naturally, the news has shocked many, especially because it happened during the shoot of a high-profile film like Fauzi. The Prabhas-Hanu Raghavapudi project is currently being shot in Hyderabad, with the team recently working on a major schedule at Ramoji Film City.
The actor is still under observation, and a clearer medical update is awaited.
Rajesh Sharma also recently appeared in Ram Charan’s Peddi during the climax.
