“Charan and I Sat Down and Sorted It Out”

Dil Raju M9 InterviewDil Raju is one of the most successful producers in the Telugu film industry. He completed 20 years in the film industry recently. In an exclusive chat with us, he shared exciting dope on his upcoming projects.

When asked how did he pull off setting up a project in collaboration with Shankar and Ram Charan, he said, “Shankar had an exciting subject ready for which he wanted to cast someone like Pawan Kalyan. After listening to the 45-minute narration, I told him that Ram Charan would be a better choice for the film. Charan was shooting for RRR, and it was in the middle of the pandemic. I arranged a phone call between Charan and Shankar, where Shankar gave him a script narration. And that is how Game Changer was locked.”

Dil Raju added, “Game Changer is my 50th film. After the film went to the sets, Indian 2 issues got sorted out, and Shankar had to resume its shooting as well. Then Ram Charan and I sat down and sorted out the shooting schedules with Shankar.”

He continued, “We told him that we understood his problem, and all of us decided that Shankar would give ten days each for both films in a month. He will take a break of 5-5 days in between to do homework for the films’ next schedules. Since Shankar had bound scripts of both films for a long time, he is able to manage the shooting of both films easily.”

Dil Raju further added, “Game changer is 70% ready. We have shot 5 huge songs with a budget of 12 cores for each song. Action part is also being completed along with the flashback episodes and some talkie part. Shankar would wrap up Indian 2 by June. And from July, he will dedicate his complete time to Game Changer, where we will shoot the major talkie part and complete the film by September.”

Dil Raju also said that Game Changer would remind us of 90s Shankar films that were hard-hitting and socially relevant.
