In the very recent past, we heard Telangana IT Minister K Taraka Ramarao (KTR) speaking on the development of the film industry in the two Telugu states and expressed desire to see the TFI growing in both Hyderabad and Vizag. Only in August, AP ministers Ghanta and P Raghunatha Reddy held a meeting with the representatives of the Telugu Film Industry.
They discussed on developing the TFI in Vizag in par with the fim industry in Hyderabad. The representatives of the industry asked for land for Cinema Special Economic Zone and many other incentives to set up industry in AP. But contrary to the opinion of the ministers of the two states, maverick director RGV has different plans to set up film industry in Karimnagar.
This November 18th, RGV is going to attend a seminar at Satavahana University in Karimnagar. He is going to conduct a workshop on making films in a different way without knowing anyone from the industry like using the models he tried for his recent releases ‘Ice Cream’ and ‘Anukshanam’. In a way he is getting ready to set up a fim industry in Karimnagar and wants the local talent to use the oppurtunity besides the aspiring film makers from other places.
