As the state bifurcation is complete, Seema Andhra region is plagued by various problems which will pose challenge for the incoming government. The state exchequer will start with a deficit budget and state will have the uphill task of building a new capital. Political Relations: Next few years, Seema Andhra will require heavy lobbying from the center to derive as many funds as possible which can be possible only if the Chief Minister has good political relations across the country. Chandra Babu scores here than Jagan as TDP and its Supremo formerly played active politics at the center and were instrumental in forming several governments.
2. Partiality: With the high inflow of funds in the from of grants and loans from the center, it is highly essential that the ruling party do not resort to partiality which slows down and lowers the quality of work for the new capital and other projects here. YS Jagan and his father were infamous for lending helping hand to their supporters and sympathizers. Chandra Babu on the other side has the name of neglecting his own people.
3. Vision for Agriculture: Most of the Coastal districts are dependent on Agriculture for the survival. Farmers in the region are being plagued by several problems here. Quality power and Loan Waiver promised by Chandra Babu will come as a huge relief to them. On the other side, Jagan is saying No to loan waiver.Strong lobbying is also required to get good minimum support price and agro based industries for the region which is again a plus point to Chandra Babu.
4. Foresight: It is often required to strike the balance between welfare programs and future programs to sustain the economy. YSR’s tenure is known for a total absence of foresight and as a result all the sectors have become duds today. Chandra Babu’s foresight and vision developed the treasury which was enjoyed by YSR.
5. Health: It is going to take a heavy toll on the incoming leader to work with out proper setup in Seema Andhra. Due to common capital, the Chief Minister may have to shuffle between Hyderabad and Seema Andhra. Age is on the side of YS Jagan in this aspect but Chandra Babu is also fit even at this age having the record of doing 2817 Kms Padayatra.
6. Availability and friendliness: These two factors are very much required for a leader who is going to be severely tested for the next year. YS Jagan is said to be arrogant even to his close aides. We have seen several instances in recent times when some of his close aides came out differing with him on this lines. This kind of attitude will not come to use to a leader.
