A controversy blew up when an offensive post about Kangana Ranaut surfaced on Congress leader Supriya Shrinate’s Instagram.
Kangana responded, urging people not to use the challenges faced by sex workers as insults. The post, appearing after Kangana’s Lok Sabha nomination by the BJP, depicted her in revealing dress with a disparaging caption.
Supriya Shrinate asserted that the post, now removed, was shared by someone with access to her accounts.
The BJP and Kangana swiftly criticized the post. Kangana emphasized every woman’s right to dignity and highlighted her varied roles, urging an end to prejudice.
Amidst this, a video resurfaced where Kangana had called actress Urmila Matondkar a semi porn star. Social media users accuse Kangana of hypocrisy, alleging she made derogatory comments against her industry colleague while now positioning herself as a victim of slut-shaming.
