Speaking with a media outlet, Fahadh said Sukumar doesn’t give him any clear instructions while acting in the scenes.

“Sukumar sir used to be like, he would be briefing me the scene first and then ask me to give three to four versions of my own on screen and he would then pick what’s best for him. It was a new process for me as an actor and it presented its own challenge.” Fahadh said.

Using this statement from Fahadh, a few are saying that Sukumar himself is clueless about what he wants from an actor and hence the idea to shoot 3-4 variations for a single expression. They’re saying Sukumar doesn’t have the clarity of what he wants to extract.

But with that being said, Sukumar is an established blockbuster director and isn’t new to the craft. This could well be his way of fine tuning his actors and extracting optimal results. Needles to say, each director had his own way of filming a scene and this is Sukumar’s way.

What must he noted is that Sukumar has always been able to extract the very best of his actors right from the start of his career. Rangasthalam and Pushpa are hallmarks of Sukumar’s ability to pull out the best of his cast. So this method is working very well for him and there’s no need to alter the same.
