Counter Attack: Asian Suniel Hits Back at Naga Vamsi

Suniel Narang Hits Back at Naga Vamsi

The ongoing clash between Tollywood producers and exhibitors has now become even more personal, with indirect comments and counterattacks flying openly through the media. Just hours after producer Naga Vamsi made sarcastic remarks about a prominent exhibitor during the active producers’ press meet, Asian Cinemas head Suniel Narang strongly reacted and gave a sharp counter in his own style.

During the producers’ press meet, Naga Vamsi indirectly targeted a powerful exhibitor while discussing the ongoing controversy surrounding the percentage-sharing system and the condition of single-screen theatres. Without taking names directly, Vamsi mocked the exhibitor by saying that a “Seth Ji” who is building multiplexes wherever land is available and suddenly talking emotionally about protecting single-screen theatres was “laughable.”

The comments immediately created a huge buzz because most people in the industry understood that the target was Asian Suniel Narang. Now, Suniel Narang has finally responded. Speaking in a special bite to a television channel, he hit back strongly at Naga Vamsi and even made a personal remark during his response.

“That duplicate hair fellow commented that I am constructing multiplexes everywhere I find land. But I have also built 33 single-screen theatres. I am planning to build more as well. People should not make random comments just because they feel like it,” Suniel said.

His “duplicate hair” remark is widely being seen as a direct attack on Naga Vamsi, making the conflict even more personal than before.

Many within the industry are now waiting to see whether Naga Vamsi will respond again in the same aggressive tone or choose to stay silent for the moment. At the same time, people are also questioning who within Tollywood has enough authority to calm both sides down before the dispute turns uglier. As of now, there are no signs of the controversy slowing down anytime soon.
