Superstar in legal trouble for using logo!

Aamir-khan-logo-legal-issueBollywood Superstar Aamir Khan recently received a legal notice regarding his famous Television series ‘Satyamev Jayate’ for the use of the National emblem as the name of the show without any legal permission from the Government of India.

The aforementioned notice was addressed to the producers, Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao, and Satyajit Bhatkal, the director of the show.

The activist, Manoranjan Roy, who sent the notice through an advocate Manoj Singh, said that ‘Satyamev Jayate’, the title of the well-known show, is a part of the emblem of India according to the State Emblem of India Act 2009 under Prohibition of Improper Use and is impermissible for use to gain monetary benefit or for advertisement.

In the notice, the advocate demanded the producers of the series to present a copy of government permission for use of the name. There have been no comments from Khan or Rao regarding this issue as of now.
