The Tamil film industry is set to face a variety shortage henceforth as the fans and followers are worried about the shortage of superstars in their industry. Firstly, Tamil cinema has three big superstars and they are Rajinikanth, Ajith and Vijay.
Firstly, Rajinikanth is aging and can’t continue forever. It shouldn’t be too long before he calls it quits for acting. He is doing films at a decent pace for now but will naturally slow down which is imminent.
Then there is Ajith, who seems diverted for now. He has been going on bike tours and following his other passions. He is making films at a leisurely pace and is not taking his superstardom too seriously.
Lastly, the only superstar who has been taking his stardom seriously and delivering consecutive box-office winners. He is the face of Tamil cinema these days. But now, he too has diverted from acting as he announced that he will no longer work on films after he is done with his next film, Thalapathy69.
Vijay is in the brink of stalling his acting career very soon for his political motives. This will essentially mean that the only hardworking prospective superstar of Tamil cinema will no longer be seen on big screens starting soon.
The next crop of actors Dhanush, Sivakarthikeyan, and others have a good market but they are not superstars who can carry winning superstar films that can pull hundreds of crores gross, at least for now. So, this essentially means that there is a shortage of superstars in Tamil cinema.
