Tamil Industry Cries Foul: Ill Treatment!

Tamil Industry Cries FoulThe 69th National Film Awards were announced by the jury from Delhi, evoking both smiles and tears as is customary with any awards. However, what is particularly surprising is the Tamil film industry’s distressing state, being left entirely neglected in comparison to the Telugu industry.

Tamil movie enthusiasts had placed their bets on three films contending for the coveted Best Actor award. The highly critically acclaimed Jai Bhim by Suriya, Pa Ranjith’s Sarpatta Parambarai, and Dhanush’s Karnan were all seen as strong contenders in their eyes.

All three films boast socially relevant content with profound messages, accompanied by commendable performances from their lead actors. Yet, despite this, none of these films, nor any other Tamil productions, were recognized by the jury.

Tamil fans, who regularly troll Telugu films, took to online platforms to voice their discontent, especially as the Telugu industry secured numerous awards, including the Best Actor award snagged by Allu Arjun.

Some even resorted to trolling Allu Arjun and his movie Pushpa, questioning how a portrayal of a thug could be deemed worthy of a Best Actor award. They argue that while it might be an impactful performance, it might not necessarily reach the level of merit deserving of a national award.
