Telugu filmmaker Dharma Teja said that actor Uday Kiran was a very passionate actor and that he was shocked to hear about his untimely death. Teja launched Uday in Telugu blockbuster “Chitram” in 2000. A year later, they worked again in “Nuvvu Nenu”.
He said that Chitram was a special film for both of them because both were making their respective debuts with it. While Uday was being launched as a lead actor, Teja made his directorial debut through it. He added that when was informed about Uday’s death, he felt that he had lost someone very close to him.
Teja said what was bothering Uday and eventually forced him to take such a tragic step. He said when he had met him few months back, he was quite normal and wanted to bounce back strongly in his career. Apparently, Uday had also signed a Telugu film and was expecting a big project in Tamil. According to police, he had made a phone call to a Tamil producer minutes before he hanged himself.
