The eighth episode is the continuation of the previous episode where the participants are taking part in the Special 12 edition. Sreerama Chandra is the host of this singing reality show, Telugu Indian Idol which is premiering on Aha Video. Thaman, Karthik, and Nithya Menen are the judges of the show.
Participant 1: Vagdevi
Vagdevi crooned Laahe Laahe in the earlier episode and she sang ‘Saranga Dariya’ from the film Fidaa. She sang it so well and also attempted an experiment by increasing the song’s tempo. Thaman revealed to Vagdevi that he already shared about Vagdevi’s voice with Mani Sharma and asked him to record a cover song with her. Karthik liked the performance and made her sing with an increased tempo once again. Nithya liked the performance too.
Karthik announced that he will record a song with Vagdevi soon and this is the first time that a singer on the Telugu Indian Idol got a chance from a composer. Vagdevi is extremely happy over the same.
She also requested Ram Miriyala and convinced him to sing Chitti Nee Navvante from Jathi Rathnalu. Both crooned the song on the stage.
Participant 2: Aditi Bhavaraju
Aditi crooned Pakka Local from the film Janatha Garage. She sang it well and impressed all the three judges.
Participant 3: Pranathi
Pranathi picked Antha Ishtam Endhayya Neeku from the film Bheemla Nayak. The judges liked her performance. Thaman shared a few interesting incidents behind the making of the song. He shared his conversations with Chitra who originally crooned the song.
Participant 4: Maruthi
Maruthi crooned Oke Oka Jeevitham from the film Mr. Nookayya. The song has come out well and Karthik who originally sang it loved the performance. Nithya and Thaman too appreciated him. Maruthi’s family members came to the stage. Maruthi’s grandmother became emotional witnessing Maruthi perform on the stage.
Participant 5: Manya Chandran
Manya picked the ‘Maguva’ female version from Vakeel Saab and presented it in her own way. Thaman shared that they only had one song in the film that they have to do in a mass way as well as a class way. Everyone is impressed with this performance as well.
Participant 6: Renu
Renu Kumar sang ‘Something Something’ from Nuvvosthanante Nenoddantana. It was an energetic performance from Renu that Nithya was seen dancing all the while until Renu finished singing. Karthik liked it very much that he reached to the stage and sang it along with Renu. Thaman tried to create tension in between by questioning the participant that he is wasting the time of judges. Later, Thaman revealed that the participant is wasting time by coming to the show but he in fact is perfect and should go in search of opportunities as a professional singer.

Thaman still appeared to be in a bad mood, even in this episode. His expressions during the performances hint us that he was angry.
