Telugu actress Chandini Chowdary, known for films like “Colour Photo,” unexpectedly faced social media abuse after a candid conversation.
She was asked by a journalist about her favorite IPL team, to which she responded that she wanted to see a match live before deciding, and since Andhra doesn’t have a team, she hasn’t picked one yet.
The journo tried to intervene and say, “Hyderabad team is there na, why don’t you select it as your favorite?” Chandini continued her stand, “I am a girl from Andhra, and we don’t have a team.’
Her straightforward and honest reply quickly led to her being abused on social media by some people from Telangana. They started abusing her for earning and living in Hyderabad while not supporting the local team, using harsh language that cannot be repeated here.
This incident highlights how even a simple opinion can provoke harsh judgments on social media.
The state division is done and dusted, but some people from both sides are still living in a shell. It is a shame that these people hurt a hard-working woman for expressing her opinion.
