However, producer Bunny Vasu remains confident. Speaking to the media, he assured that Thandel isn’t just about the Pakistan episode but is powered by strong performances from Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi.
He also revealed that the final 30 minutes are the film’s biggest strength, hinting at a gripping climax.

Director Chandoo Mondeti’s track record is a mix of major hits and unexpected flops. His previous collaborations with Naga Chaitanya resulted in one hit and one disaster, making Thandel a crucial film for both.
While the story is inspired by real events, Bunny Vasu clarified that the lead characters, Raju and Sathya, are fictional, with their love story playing a key role.
