However, there was a slight deviation from his demeanor on the chat show ‘Koffee with Karan’. When Karan asked him, which Bollywood director matches his vision, he didn’t mince words to say that no one matches his vision in Bollywood.

Karan Johar agreed with him and said, ‘True’, immediately. Rajamouli is known for his diplomacy and this is a surprise to see him giving a direct answer without resorting to his usual diplomacy. Bollywood has some great visionaries like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Raju Hirani, Anurag Kashyap who were said to be on the altar for the Bollywood audiences. However, their films after ‘Baahubali’ couldn’t reach anywhere near Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’.
That itself explains that Rajamouli is currently India’s No.1 director, without being diplomatic. Even Karan Johar seems to have been bowled over Rajamouli’s straight replies on Koffee with Karan’s couch. It’s nice to see the director agreeing for the first time that no one else’s vision matches with his. The episode with Rajamouli, Prabhas, and Rana as the guests, was one of the most awaited episodes of the season for the obvious reasons.
