Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s Comeback film, Vakeel Saab has ended up as a disappointment at the box office. Even though many say the COVID Second Wave impact as the reason for the loss, the fact is that the movie lost steam even before the cases were at alarming levels in both the Telugu States.
In anyways, the movie showed signs of decline even before that. After the first weekend, the movie performed well only on Ugadi day. It could not even perform well in the second weekend holidays. The other day, Telangana Theaters Association announced the complete shutdown of theaters.
The association, however, exempted the theaters playing Vakeel Saab until this weekend. Even then, many theaters playing the movie decided to shut immediately without availing the exemption. They say the audience is no longer interested and running the film may not even recover the expenses.
Only a few theaters belonging to Dil Raju are playing the film for obvious reasons.
