The ongoing discussion on the 14-member producer’s panel (comprising big heads like Dil Raju, Allu Arvind and others) decision to limit the film events to only two channels is taking a new turn day by day and the anxiety and apparent tiff is slowly mounting. The Friday meeting of the television channels and print media in kindling strife amongst the 100 plus producers who are against he detrimental ruling of the pannel on limiting only two channels. This meeting conveys that the print media and channels are irritated heavily by the panel and hence thinking on cutting concessions for film advertisements and charge commercial rates.
This would by far effect the medium and small producers who wouldn’t be able to cope up with the escalated cost of promoting their films. The unrest among the producers has gone to the extent that they are demanding a ban on the 14-member producers panel (now 14 minus two) in the coming general body meeting of the Producers’ Council.
