The opening quarter of twenty twenty five is already done and dusted with three months completed already. Meanwhile, here is a look at the kind of year that Tollywood had in terms of musical works of our films.
The year started with the three Sankranthi films. But there is only one winner here and it is Godari Gattumeeda from Sankranthi Ki Vasthunnam. This is the only song that got wide penetration and reached the masses.

This was followed by Bujji Thalli from Thandel. Devi Sri Prasad was again at his usual best while delivering this melody for Naga Chaitanya film. This is the only musical hits of the month, February.
Then we have Premalo from Court which is again the only musical hit for the month of March.

While all of these songs have been able to gain appreciation from their target audience, there is still no “100M views” song for Tollywood this year. The issue is that we do not have too many big films lined up for release for the reminder of the year either.
So this might be a rather dull year for Tollywood in terms of audio and unless of course some other film delivers a surprise blockbuster.

One film that is worth of this chance is Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom which has its music done by Anirudh who is a raging sensation. But again, we don’t know if this film has the scope for such banger songs and album in general, considering the seemingly serious nature of the film.
The only expectation is that Anirudh would deliver a winning musical experience again after Devara, this time for Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom.
