Generally, when a film succeeds at the ticket counters, the concerned technical team and the actors associated with it flooded with opportunities. But Telugu cinema is witnessing a strange phenomena where technicians are not getting as much recognition now.
Earlier we have the case of Court, which was a pretty big success at the ticket counters. Hero Nani received a lot of appreciation for producing contact backed film and the buyers made good money too.
But the director of the film, Ram Jagadish had not announced another project till now, and there is no clear update on when he could be returning to action.
More recently, we have the case of Buchi Babu, who made a big film like Peddi with Ram Charan. The film was reasonable outcome at the box office but it lacked any cultural impact on the audience.
Subsequently, all the anticipation that was placed on Buchi Babu, possibly getting elevated to the next league has evaporated quickly. There is very little chance that any other star hero might work with him on immediate basis.
Another Director, who reasonable success is, Nandu who made Lenin with Akhil Akkineni. This film had a pretty solid first weekend, but eventually evaporated later.
However, there has been very little discussion about the director of this film, even before the release. And the situation has completely lopsided after the release as there’s no commentary whatsoever regarding this filmmaker now.
Only solid filmmakers like Sandeep Reddy, Sujeeth and others who display a lot of command on their craft are turning immediately busy while others appear to be facing an uphill battle all over again.
