For Prabhas and his fans, the Awards announcement is like a God sent gift. Whether or not one believes in the awards, Prabhas has one now and it helps in generating talk on him as an actor. What’s more, the Award is for a film that was released four years ago and almost out of public memory. What it does is freshens up the memory of the people towards the movie, in a general sense.
Basically, it is like Prabhas has been part of a film called Mirchi that released just last year. The Nandi Award resets the clock and Prabhas and his fans can forget the entire long gap and look forward to the career resumption with Sujeeth film next year. With better planning and little bit luck like these, there would be no looking back for the star, at least for the next five years starting from 2018.
Meanwhile, SS Rajamouli won it for Eega and also has two Baahubali films to look forward to in terms of awards. That would surely increase his brand further to new heights. Trivikram Srinivas continues to get awards. Add Nani and Samantha to the mix, these are the big takeovers from announced awards for the years 2012 and 2013. Prabhas leads this pack with Mirchi that won six awards in total.
