Yash’s most anticipated pan-Indian film Toxic, directed by Geetu Mohandas, was initially scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19. However, the film was postponed and the makers are yet to announce a new release date.
As Toxic is Yash’s immediate release after the blockbuster KGF franchise, expectations have remained extremely high since the project was officially announced. Fans across the country have been eagerly waiting for updates on the film’s release.
The makers first planned to release Toxic on April 10, 2025. Due to delays in completing the shoot, the release was later pushed to March 19, 2026. However, the film did not arrive in theatres on the announced date.
Later, the team reportedly stated that the release was being shifted to June 3 because of the ongoing Middle East war. Despite this announcement, the film was not released on June 3 either, and no official explanation was provided by the production house.
The continued delay sparked several rumours on social media. One widely circulated claim suggested that Yash was unhappy with the final output and that the makers were planning extensive reshoots lasting nearly 100 days. Some reports even claimed that the film could be postponed until 2027.
These speculations left many fans disappointed. Several fans expressed their frustration online and urged the makers to provide a clear update instead of repeatedly delaying the film without official communication.
According to insider sources, the rumours about reshoots and Yash being dissatisfied with the film are completely false. Sources have also stated that Toxic missed its expected release due to pending non-theatrical deals, and that the makers will announce a new release date once those agreements are finalised.
