Kangana Ranaut is a Padma Shri recipient and four time winner of National Award. The actress, more often than not, hit headlines for her political comments rather than her professional work. Quite active on social media, Kangana puts her thoughts on Twitter. Now in a major shock to her, Twitter has suspended her account.
On what grounds, her Twitter account has been suspended is yet to be known, but it is believed that her recent tweets have come under radar for instigating the public and inciting communal harmony through hate speech. The account suspension comes close on the heels after Kangana in her recent tweets urged Narendra Modi to “tame” Mamata Banerjee in the backdrop of Bengal elections.
Meanwhile, Kangana is not one who goes meek, but has rather reacted strongly about her suspensions. In an Insta post, she released a video where she said that her account suspension is the death of democracy. Her Insta post carried the hashtags, ‘Bengal Burning’ and ‘Bengal Violence’.
Kangana has over three million followers on Twitter. It all began after she called out Karan Johar for being flag-bearer for nepotism. While she continues to enjoy a fan base, a larger section of netizens have condemned her for her radical approach.
