Ustaad Bhagat Singh, Not A Political Film: Harish Shankar

Ustaad Bhagat Singh Pawan Kalyan Harish Shankar

Director Harish Shankar has finally addressed the wave of discussions surrounding the electrifying Aura of Ustaad song from the upcoming film Ustaad Bhagat Singh starring Power Star Pawan Kalyan. As the lyrical glimpses and fan edits have begun storming social media, the filmmaker expressed gratitude and clarity in equal measure.

“People turning a few lines into edits and sending them back, that adrenaline is unreal,” he said, recounting how a friend described the song as an instant “Pawan Kalyan trance.” After the earlier ‘Dance Buster’, he suggested calling this track a “Trance Buster.”

But the real conversation sparked when a few fans wondered if the song, and the film, carry political undertones. Harish Shankar strongly dismissed the speculation.

According to him, Pawan Kalyan has always drawn a clear boundary between cinema and politics. Harish revealed that Pawan Kalyan personally instructed the team not to include any dialogue or scene that ridicules, instigates, or targets any individual, party, or community. Ustaad Bhagat Singh is not a political film,” he clarified.

The iconic glass dialogue, he emphasized, uplifts the hero without putting anyone else down. “His fans come from every party, every background,” the director said. “Cinema is a common ground. Why disturb that harmony?”

With that, Harish assured that the upcoming film is intended as a massive, inclusive celebration, crafted for audiences of all sections to enjoy together- without friction, without division, and without compromising Pawan Kalyan’s principles.
