‘Pelli Choopulu’ gave life to Vijay Deverakonda and ‘Arjun Reddy’ literally lifted him several steps upwards at a go. In between came ‘Dwaraka’ that was unpalatable for the audiences. How does Deverakonda keep a tab on the content and criticism of his movies?
Speaking about his films and criticism, Deverakonda said that his brother Anand Deverakona who used to live in the US back then, has walked out of the premiere show and told him that he couldn’t sit even half-way through the movie.
That must be ‘Dwaraka’ that was a disappointment, though we know another film ‘Ye Mantram Vesave’ was totally disowned by Vijay as a backlog film. Actors aren’t beings with super powers, and they had to take in the creative input of critics to know the flaws in their films.
Talking about criticism, Vijay says that he welcomes creative criticism and alright with it, but he doesn’t like stupid criticism. Whatever that means! Vijay Deverakonda contradicts himself adding that there is no rule that everyone must have the same opinion on his movies.
