Director Chimbu Devan has roped in Kamalakannan who became famous after rendering CG works for Rajamouli’s ‘Eega’ and ‘Magadheera’ to do the CG works for ‘Puli’. This made it easier for the makers to plan during the pre-production work for the film and start shooting.
Coming to Vijay’s makeover as a fantasy hero, the director says the make up used to take 2-3 hours everyday. This might be because of costumes, because we didn’t see much difference in his appearance regarding hairstyling, moustache or facial makeover in the trailer content. In a way, ‘Puli’ is inevitably compared to ‘Baahubali’.
