Vishwak Sen is going through a tough phase in his career, with back to back films failing badly at the box office.
His latest release, Funky, has continued that disappointing streak.
Even before this, films like Laila, Mechanic Rocky, and Gangs of Godavari failed to open to even half decent collections. Their final theatrical runs ended up as outright disasters.
Now, just days after Funky released, he is back with a teaser for his new film titled Cult.
Once again, he appears to be placing strong hopes on this project. The teaser gives a feeling of being heavily influenced by some recent films and even a few foreign shows and movies.
Adding to this, the teaser launch event turned controversial. Vishwak Sen had a heated exchange with a lady journalist and did not hesitate to drag hero Nani’s name into the issue publicly. The video has since been circulating widely.

The bigger question is whether all this controversy and chatter will actually translate into a decent opening when Cult releases. That remains the real concern for Vishwak Sen at this point in his career.
