The tragic death of veteran actor Akkineni Nageshwara Rao came as a great loss for everyone in the industry but the worst came when his son, renowned actor Nagarjuna broke down during the funeral yesterday. ANR had been battling cancer for a long time and his death wasn’t that much of a shock however the filmstars’ crowd at the Annapurna Studios was extremely moved when Nagarjuna broke down all of a sudden at the funeral and just wept uncontrollably.
It seemed like the actor had been holding back all that grief and it came out at the funeral when he just couldn’t control it anymore. Others who were very close to Akkineni Nageshwara Rao, like Jaya Sudha and Brahmanandam, also couldn’t hold their tears.
It was really moving when Nag himself tried to console his sister by putting his arms around and trying to stop his tears. When industry celebs and politicians met him he tried to maintain a demeanour which suggested that he had to be dignified at the time of his grief.
At one point Nag took it upon himself to console Brahmanandam, minutes later it was director Ragavender Rao and Chiranjeevi who had to console Nag.
While Naga Chaitanya and Akhil fought their tears when it was time to bid farewell to legend ANR, Nag couldn’t control his tears any more.
We wish to see happy and relaxed Nag soon in normal life.
