Union Government had allowed film and Television industries to function as a part of Unlock 3.0. Union information and broadcasting Ministry had laid out detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to begin the shootings taking all the necessary precautions to keep the cast and crew safe.
Earlier various State Governments have allowed the shootings, very few film units started the shoot but some shootings have stopped midway due to infections. It has to be seen if this announcement of the Center will infuse confidence to big stars to start the shootings.
Much to the relief of TV and film production houses, high-risk employees were not prevented from shooting but were asked to take extra precautions. They are advised not be exposed to frontline work requiring contact with the public. On the other side, it has to be seen when the theaters will open.
Rumors are that the theaters will be allowed to function from September 5th but the industry will take at least the start of next year to things normalize.
