India’s 29th state has finally been formed after a long struggle. Telangana, which has been carved out of Andhra Pradesh, is now a separate state with new government. Ever since Telangana was announced there has been a lot of buzz over the film industry’s future in the state. Now that the new state has been formed everybody wonders will that have any effect on the functioning of the film industry.
There have been strong rumours that all Telugu films henceforth need to have some Telangana connect for them to get released in the state as well. This will certainly put pressure on filmmakers who now have to look at different ways to incorporate Telangana connection in their films. People say that Telugu films henceforth will also use a lot of Telangana accent to appeal to audiences in both the states. We have to see what the future holds for Telugu industry especially after the formation of Telangana.
Let’s see how filmmakers and producers will foresee future and make films. Will they succumb to the Telangana connect request or not to ensure their films do well in both the markets.
