A shocking crime took place in Hyderabad as a 10-year-old girl was found murdered in her apartment in Kukatpally on Monday. The incident has left residents in deep shock and fear as the murder appears to be mysterious and brutal.
The girl lived in Sangeet Nagar, Kukatpally, and studied in class six at Kendriya Vidyalaya. Her father works as a bike mechanic and her mother is a lab technician. At the time of the incident, her brother was in school and she was alone at home due to a holiday.
Around lunchtime, her father returned home to collect food for his son and discovered the girl lying in a pool of blood. She was stabbed in the stomach and declared dead on the spot. Her parents are inconsolable as the reason behind the attack is still unclear.
Police were immediately informed and reached the spot along with the Clues team and a dog squad to gather evidence. The investigation has been taken up on priority with multiple teams scanning the area for leads.
According to the latest update, police suspect that a youth attempted to sexually assault the girl. When she resisted, he stabbed her to death. CCTV footage suggests that the youth could be a relative of the family. The investigation is ongoing as the police work to identify and arrest the culprit.
