487 Criminals wants to become Police in Telangana

The ongoing Police recruitment drive in Telangana had received 487 applications from candidates with Criminal Cases in the past.

The officials at TS Level Police Recruitment Board however suspect there may be more such candidates with Criminal background but are hiding the facts in their applications.

The Recruitment Board had tied up with Valuepitch, a company that has built Criminal e-verification tool called Verify24x7. This tool checks antecedents across India in over 19,000 courts and has a database of 12 crore records that get updated. Once the verification is done, the board will take a final decision on them.
