The Iconic Buildings of Secretariat, High Court, and Assembly Buildings are going to cost a bomb to the state exchequer. The construction cost alone will cost a whopping 7179 Rupees Per Square foot. This is a sensational expenditure but Chandrababu Naidu wants it that way since these structures will stand for generations together. CRDA will call for the tenders very soon and the construction will begin. Naidu will want at least one or all of these buildings to be completed before 2019 elections to showcase as the success of the TDP government.
The state government recently finalised the design of the Assembly while Norman Fosters and Partners Company is busy finalising the designs of the high court and the secretariat. But then, this expenditure is too much for the state which is reeling under severe financial pressure due to the deficit budget inherited from the state bifurcation.
