Alcoholics and liquor lovers in Karnataka have put forward a seemingly hilarious set of demands to the government of Karnataka. Here is a look into the same.
A group of alcohol lovers have formed an association and presented their demands in writing to the government.
The first demand is to ban the usage of the word “drunkard” as they feel it downgrades them. 31st December, when most people are partying on the eve of New Year should be declared alcohol lovers day.
There should be an ambulance outside every pub in Karnataka to tend to medical emergencies. There should be rest houses outside pubs for drunk people to rest and then go to their places safely once the alcohol effect subsides. They are also pushing for an alcohol development board. There is also a demand for cheaper alcohol.
Reacting to the same on Twitter, a netizen commented “Alcohol consumers pay a hell of a lot of indirect taxes that fund so many govt schemes. My salute to alcohol lovers.”
