The Andhra Pradesh government has launched public voting to finalize the design of the upcoming Iconic Bridge that will connect the Vijayawada–Hyderabad national highway. Citizens can log in to the CRDA website, view the shortlisted designs, enter the captcha, and cast their vote.
A total of four futuristic designs have been presented. Three of them are inspired by the Kuchipudi dance form, while one design symbolizes the letter “A” for Amaravati, highlighting the cultural and historic essence of the capital region.
The bridge will stretch 5 km, connecting Rayapadu in Amaravati to Mulapadu in NTR district. Initially, L&T was tasked with building the project at an estimated cost of ₹1,387 crore on NH-10 near Ibrahimpatnam. However, after the change in government, the project was shifted to NH-13.
By involving citizens in the design selection, the government aims to ensure that Amaravati’s people’s capital reflects both modern engineering and local cultural pride.
