There is wide-spread anticipation about capital Amaravati. There are all kinds of comments about it from people and political leaders.
Putting a stop to all such fears and rumours, MAUD Minister Narayana has clarified that the capital Amaravati works will restart from March 12-15.
He said a muhurtam will be set soon. In the first phase, works worth Rs 40,000 crore will be taken up, he revealed. The rest of the works will be taken up in a phased manner, said the minister.
He also took time to respond to the claims made by the opposition YSRCP. He countered saying who said Amaravati will be constructed with people’s money.
When asked about their stand on Amaravati, Botsa said he would tell later, mocked Narayana. During the past government’s term, they played a three-card game talking of three capitals, Narayana retorted.
He said that the works were delayed as the election code was in place. The capital will be completed in three years, he assured.
Narayana fired on YSRCP for calling Amaravati a ghost city.
The government has plans of developing Amaravati as a self-sustaining city and a world-class capital. World Bank, Asia Development Bank and HUDCO have given loans to the Capital after being convinced of the master plan. Rs 6000 crore has been allotted for Amaravati in State Budget for year 2025-26.
