Ambati Rambabu, a key leader in the YSRCP and a former minister, now faces serious corruption allegations. The Chandrababu government has ordered a vigilance probe against him.
Several cases are already pending against Ambati. The latest investigation has reportedly shocked him and his supporters within the YSRCP.
According to officials, Ambati purchased land at ₹10 lakh per acre and sold it to the then government for ₹30 lakh. This was done under the pretext of Jagan’s housing colonies.
He is also alleged to have sold shift operator posts in the electricity department for ₹7 lakh each. The government has directed the vigilance department to submit a detailed report within a month.
If the findings confirm wrongdoing, the case will be handed over to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). This could be a major legal challenge for the former minister.
Ambati has been a vocal critic of the Chandrababu Naidu-led government, often targeting its leaders with sharp remarks. Now, the tables appear to be turning.
With the “Red Book” style governance in full force, Ambati Rambabu is the latest to come under serious scrutiny.
