If the reports emerging from the media are to be believed, BJP may put up its Candidate in the upcoming Rajya Sabha Elections in Andhra Pradesh. BJP President Amit Shah had offered to field the candidate if TDP supports their candidate.

BJP has just four votes in this election and TDP has 39 more MLAs for the third seat. After that, they have to pull out a YSR Congress MLA to get the Rajya Sabha seat. It would be a trap to fall for Naidu as such move will have new problems.
Naidu has nothing to gain from this except preventing YSR Congress sendings its candidate. BJP will obviously not reciprocate to the help as evident from the past experience. People who are angry with BJP will see TDP still helping the Saffron Party.
Also, BJP putting up a candidate against YSR Congress will also bunk the notion of the Opposition Party cozying up with the saffron party which will again help Jagan. In all possible ways, Naidu has nothing to gain and it may be better not to put up the third candidate if BJP does not support TDP Candidate.
