An Indian father finds a Pakistani daughter

malala_Khailash-SatyarthiIt was a very memorable and historical day when child rights activist from India Khailash Satyarthi and the teen rights activist Malala Yousufzai from Pakistan are bestowed with Nobel Peace Prize honours in Norwegia in a ceremonious event. It was a proud moment for all the global citizens who can understand the conflict of children and the atrocities they face by getting their rights denied.

Speaking on the occasion, Kailash Satyarthi says that he is an Indian father who found his Pakistani daughter, Malaala . He says, “My daughter Malala and all the daughters of the world are rising up and choosing courage over fear and peace over violence.” He observes that as long as every single child is freed from burden of labour and his rights assured, he has no right for enjoying the freedom. He gave a call to the world, ‘Let us march from mortality to dignity, let us march from darkness to light…’ And so on went his inspirational speech.

Malala in her Nobel Laureate speech said, “Proud to be the youngest Nobel Laureate. I’m honoured to be receiving this award alongwith Kailash Satyarthi.” She dedicated the award to all the forgotten children who want education, for all those voiceless children who want peace. She thanked her parents for their unconditional love and thanked her father specially for letting her fly.

All through her speech, the teenage Nobel laureate reiterated the need for education for every single child in the world. Both Satyarthi and Malala’s speeches had the under current message on the need to raise voice on the rights of children and the importance of freedom and making every child the righful survivor against all odds. While Malala wants to see every child in school, Satyarthi wants to see every child free from burden of labour. What noble thoughts of these truly deserving pious beings! Hats off!
